5 Ways to Embrace the Unknown

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The opposite of the unknown is the known. A place people can control as they know what to expect. Ooh, that feels good. Yet, this is not how life events play out, and the real treasures in life are right over in the place of least resistance!

  1. Listen to your intuition and follow through on that decision.

The answers to all we seek live within us. Communicating with your inner voice is its own relationship and one you can trust.

This may need some trial and error experiments to find your rhythm, yet following through on the decision from your intuition will bear you fruit when the answers appear unclear.

  2. Create ways that make you Anti-Fragile.

Diversify yourself from the ground up. Establishing multiple ways to support your needs from the most basic towards the needs of self awareness.

One way that alleviates fragility is with a Backup Savings Account. A first step in any financial life path. This itself is achievable with baby steps and simply enlivens you as you accomplish this goal. Once it is achieved, it gives you the flexibility to dodge many “foul” balls life may throw in your direction. It may even be that support to take the chance to leap into the unknown of a new life chapter.

This is one way to add diversity and anti-fragility in your life. This principal can be applied to your relationships, income sources, hobbies, health and fitness practices, whatever is important to you!

  3. Practice small ways of doing or thinking outside of your comfort zone.

Start small and be consistent. Monthly, weekly, daily. Do an activity that is outside your comfort zone or give a belief pattern that seems uncomfortable to you a chance to understand it from its point of view.

Playing with activities and thoughts outside of our “world” doesn’t have to be serious, have fun with it! Know that nothing is permanent. So when times may seem to be backward and uncertain, you have the mindset to embrace it rather than push it away. See where it takes you!

  4. Have a spiritual practice.

Establishing your own method of speaking to your soul when things are uneasy will rebalance you. This can be short or long, although keeping it digestible with limited required attachments makes it easier to replicate swiftly.

All that is meant by “Spiritual” in practice is that it is a way to connect your soul with the universal environment around you. For me, it is doing a balance reading with the animal medicine cards. Simply something that works for me and I can count on even when I have limited energy power. It can also be simply putting your bare feet in the grass and soil.

  5. Be compassionate to yourself.

There may be the mindset that being harsh on yourself will achieve what needs to get done. The key is to remain motivated while kind to yourself. Consistency is key, not grandiose gestures.

Compassion towards yourself that you are doing well even if the outcome isn’t what you had originally planned. It is possible that the unplanned outcome is actually more beneficial to your overall purpose and mission!

When you are kind, remind yourself that tomorrow is another day to attempt the tasks that didn’t fit today, that balance and relaxation is your natural state, and you have contributed to today by being kind to someone, you! This practice builds resiliency to increase productivity levels for the next day and beyond while allowing time, the time it needs. Hmm, that’s a concept, that the unknown is simply time flowing at its proper pace for the greater good of us all.

One thing is for certain, that consistent practice makes comfort. The more you practice ways to diversify your life and trust that good things will always come, the unknown becomes your welcomed friend! These are five ways to embrace the unknown yet, there are so many ways to do this and utilize what works best for you. How do you practice embracing change with the uncertain answers of what will come next? Let everyone know in the comments below!
